CU CHAMPION 2017 refers to the community outreach events that scheduled within October 2016 to September 2017. CU CHAMPION volunteers will transform their passion into action as the team's slogan, Passion in Action, stipulated the team's core value.

CU CHAMPION involves students, teachers, and alumni of CUHK Faculty of Medicine. As an inter-departmental student outreach team, students, alumni, and teachers of different disciplines will work together to conduct health promotion and promote medication safety.

Since October 2016, CU CHAMPION has been conducting a series of Post Outreach Follow Up Visits for 200 elderly subjects.  The visits involve Core Team, Clerkship Task Force members and registered pharmacists. The group members provide individual disease and medication consultation for these subjects twice in six months. All follow up visits shall be completed by the end of March 2017.

Core Team

Core Team 2017 members are responsible to conduct all up-coming CU CHAMPION community outreach programs in 2017. Core Team 2017 consists of four task forces, including Internal Team, External Team, Resource Team and Research Team. Duties of Core Team include coordinating and promoting CU CHAMPION events, facilitating the logistics of CU CHAMPION events, leading the outreach services.​

  • Recruit and manage secondary school student volunteers 

  • Liaise with collaborating partners 

  • Co-ordinate event logistic

Research

  • Develop Summer Outreach questionnaire and analyze the research data

  • Conduct post summer outreach follow up visit service 

  • Provide health education and drugs consultation for follow up subjects
