Spring Outreach 2016
Date: April 2 & April 9, 2016 (Saturday)
Target : Elders in Elderly Community Centre
The team conducted outreach services at Yuen Long and Tin Shui Wai on April 2 and April 9, 2016. The service aimed at promoting healthy lifestyle, and medicaiton safety among the elders. In the service, student volunteers explained to elders that the correct way of storing drugs. Registered pharmacists also provided drug counseling and suggestions to improve elders’ attitudes toward medication. Apart from delivering medication safety knowledge, student volunteers also got to understand the habit and medication problems of the elders.
The team served 90 elders in these 2 Spring Outreach sessions.
